The Fontbonne Legacy Society

Fontbonne Legacy Society logoThroughout the years, many wonderfully generous individuals have included Saint Joseph Academy in their estate planning. Some have been motivated by appreciation for what Saint Joseph Academy has done for them or their daughters. Some chose to honor a special teacher or Sister of the Congregation of St. Joseph, or a person who helped them at an important point in their life. The Fontbonne Legacy Society was established to recognize these generous members of the Saint Joseph Academy community for their profound commitment and support of our mission.

The Fontbonne Legacy Society is named in honor of Mother St. John Fontbonne, who re-founded the Congregation of St. Joseph after the French Revolution in 1807, and later sent the first six Sisters of St. Joseph to America in 1836.

Members of the Fontbonne Legacy Society have:

  • Provided for Saint Joseph Academy in their will or trust.
  • Designated Saint Joseph Academy as the beneficiary in a qualified retirement plan, savings bond, bank account or life insurance policy.
  • Created a planned gift that returns fixed or flexible income for their estate planning.

With sincere thanks for their generous commitment to ensuring the future of Saint Joseph Academy, members of the Fontbonne Legacy Society are invited to special appreciation events and considered life-time members of the 1890 Society.
